Which function needs to be occupied?
As a Linux software engineer with a specialization in Embedded – Yocto, you are the key figure within our R&D department for building Linux distributions on various embedded hardware platforms. You build these distributions based on functional and security requirements. You take into account possibilities such as OTA updates and recovery. You support software engineers in the use of these distributions.
We are evolving from audio processing on a DSP platform to real-time audio processing on embedded Linux. You are motivated to help shape and implement this evolution. You are eager to learn and like to stay informed of the latest Linux innovations. You have good communication skills to guide your colleagues in using these Linux distributions. You take ownership and can develop a long-term vision for Linux distributions.
Your tasks
- As part of a multi-disciplinary team you will work on the design, implementation and testing of the embedded software in a variety of high tech products.
- Your main focus is
- Selection and configuration of an Embedded Linux kernel
- Configuration of a Board Support Package (BSP)
- Selection and customization of required Linux services
- Design, implementation and testing of applications
- You will report your plans and progress to the R&D Manager.
What are the expectations for employment?
- A completed BSc/MSc education in the field of Computer Science or related.
- Experience with modern Software Engineering techniques and tooling.
- Experience with software development in C/C++, QT and Scripting.
- Experience in creating Requirement-, Software Architecture-, Design- and Test-documentation.
- You have a broad interest in the AV industry or willing to expand your knowledge of sound systems.
- You are a strong communicator.
- You have a real do-mentality.
