Extreme conditions, extreme performance
We are very excited to tell you that our outdoor range of loudspeakers successfully passed the Siberian test. Our WX outdoor series, ALTI outdoor series and the CHA series were tested and approved with brilliance. The test consisted of an experiment in which our loudspeakers were tested under the harshest winter conditions with temperatures up to minus 45 degrees Celsius. By running the test for over 120 hours or 5 days straight, we can say with certainty that our outdoor speakers are a reliable solution for any outdoor installation.
This extreme conditions test was conducted as follows:
1) Speakers were put in a Climate chamber -30°C.
2) Intensive (techno) music played for about 30 minutes.
3) The music was stopped and brought back to idle at -30°C.
4) This test returned for 10 times at -30°C (30 min music / 2 hrs idle cycle).
5) The temperature was lowered to -35°C & performed test cycle for 10 times (step 1 to 4 at -35°C).
6) The temperature was lowered to -40°C & performed test cycle for 10 times (step 1 to 4 at -40°C).
7) The temperature was lowered to -45°C & performed test cycle for 10 times (step 1 to 4 at -45°C).
After each temperature cycle, the acoustical response was measured and verified. We can conclude from the AUDAC Siberian test that there are no significant changes in acoustical response during the test. The visual inspection of the suspension reveals that there were no defects after the test.
