We want to introduce you regularly to the AUDAC enthusiasts who are helping us spread the word about our innovative solutions. Today we introduce you to our enthusiastic colleague Selina.
Name: Selina
Job title: Software Developer
Years in function: 2 years
What are your responsibilities at PVS?
I am responsible for developing the AUDAC Touch application. My main focus is on the UI aspect of the app, ensuring that it is visually appealing and fully functional.
How does your day look like at PVS?
I like to start early to have some quiet hours in the morning. Around 9.30 am, we have our daily standup where we discuss the work we accomplished the previous day and what we will be working on that day. I don't have many meetings throughout the day, so I can dedicate most of my time to adding new features to the application. Of course, I do take breaks now and then, usually for a cup of tea.
How did you end up at PVS?
I had just graduated from PXL and was actively looking for a place to start working. It was during the pandemic, and many companies were seeking Medior or Senior profiles, making it quite challenging for new graduates like me to find a job. Luckily, PVS gave me a chance and recognized my potential.
What might someone be surprised to know about you?
I don't think there's anything particularly surprising about me, but I do have a lot of hobbies and skills that I enjoy working on. I love cooking and baking, drawing and animating, playing the piano, singing, and even bouldering.
What has been your best moment at AUDAC
Hmm, that's a difficult question. I think my best moment at AUDAC was when I was part of the team that released our first version of the application. I played a significant role in improving the device list UI, and seeing it come to life made me incredibly proud.
What’s your favorite music genre and give us an example?
My taste in music is quite diverse. I enjoy pop music, and artists like Ed Sheeran are among my favorites. On the other hand, I also appreciate the energy of metal music, with Tool and Soen being some of the bands I enjoy listening to. And when I'm in the mood for something different, musicals like "Hamilton" never fail to captivate me.
