We would like to introduce you regularly to the AUDAC enthusiasts who are helping us spreading the word of our innovative solutions. Today we introduce you to our enthusiastic colleague Anita Vanhamel.
How did you end up at AUDAC?
In 2018, I started looking for a new job. I subsequently found a job as an accounting manager at AUDAC on the internet. After the initial contact via email, the HR department had set up the recruitment process very quickly and I was invited for my first interview shortly afterward. Since I also had some knowledge of customs law, they also offered me a job in our logistics department. However, as my heart is really in accounting, I rather opted for the specific job as an accountant. I am very pleased that AUDAC listened to my interests and offered me the job I was looking for.
What are your responsibilities at AUDAC?
As an accounting executive at AUDAC, I make sure that all purchase invoices, VAT declarations, VISA statements, etc. are considered. In addition, I am responsible for the punctual payment of my colleagues' salaries. So I have a lot of daily contact with my internal colleagues and our external customers.
Meanwhile, we have also switched to analytical accounting, which also makes these tasks easier. This switch has greatly improved the quality and structure of the work we do in the bookkeeping department.
What has been your best moment at AUDAC?
The 35th-anniversary party of PVS in September 2018 was my best moment at the company so far. I was pretty new to the company and the party around the motto "Flemish fair" was overwhelming. During a whole week, we celebrated and PVS did its utmost to give me a warm welcome in the company. There were many fairground rides, a live rock band, a bar, and various food corners with popcorn, pizza or french fries. All colleagues and their families, as well as the AUDAC partners and suppliers from all over the country and abroad, were invited.
I can hardly wait for the next Jubilee, the 40th anniversary, and I am already starting to count the remaining years.
What’s your favourite music genre and give us an example?
I'm a big rock fan, mainly from Bruce Springsteen. For me, he is the greatest artist of all time. I have already seen a lot of live artists, but Bruce’s live concerts were by far the best. I can really advise you to go see him live, maybe we'll see each other as I will be there for sure!
