Mechanical Designer

As a Mechanical Designer, you are responsible for the design and implementation of new products from concept to production.

Your responsibilities:

• You are responsible for the entire development process: from the initial artistic concept to the final technical product. 
• You translate creative ideas into functional and technically feasible designs. You create product designs, ranging from initial (theoretical) concept drawings to final products and detailed production-ready designs. 
• You will create images and animations (2D and 3D) for both commercial and communication purposes. 
• You will develop 3D models, technical drawings and prototypes for audiovisual systems and accessories (including loudspeakers, mounting systems, amplifier housings, matrix systems, connectors, etc.).
• You are responsible for setting up and monitoring the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) process in close collaboration with manufacturers, with a focus on efficiency, cost-effectiveness and manufacturability. 
• You will assess your designs in terms of mechanical reliability, durability and user-friendliness. 
• You will devise and integrate innovative solutions to make products both aesthetically appealing and technically advanced. 
• You will write product documentation for both technical and commercial purposes. 
• You are responsible for monitoring the entire product creation cycle, including with external stakeholders (samples, prototypes, testing, etc.). 
• You support product management. 
• You act as a liaison between the product and marketing departments to ensure a smooth flow of information. 
• You contribute to market and competition analyses in order to maintain and further develop your feel for and insight into the market. 
• You will assist in testing, validating and optimizing prototypes and end products. 
• You will work closely with various internal teams (product management, electronics, acoustics) and external suppliers to achieve the best results.

• You have at least a bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• You are creative in finding technical solutions. You have good spatial awareness.
• You are proficient in design tools such as Autodesk Inventor and KeyShot (for 3D visualization and animation).
• You preferably have experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). This is a strong asset for commercial visuals and documentation.
• You are result-oriented and have a solution-oriented mindset, with an eye for producibility and cost efficiency.
• You are a true team player who can work well with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
• You are a strong communicator, organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• You have practical knowledge of materials, production techniques and assembly systems.
• You are interested in the audio sector.
• You have a good knowledge of English.
