Jaypee Boomerung Complex in Delhi now runs 29 PA and background music zones from a single network audio platform, with fire alarm integration and control from any device. The complex is part of Jaypee Hotels Limited and combines hospitality, leisure, wellness and business facilities across five floors, with a sixth under construction.
From the parking levels in the lower basement to the arbitration and meeting rooms on the first floor, every area has its own audio needs. The lower and upper basements house parking, engineering rooms, gaming zones, a cafeteria and the admin office. The lower ground floor brings together banquets, a tea lounge, a spa, the golf reception and the kitchens. Above it sit a gym, a kids' play room, a cards room, an Indian traditional restaurant, a resto-bar and a library, while the first floor is home to meeting rooms, an IT room and a wellness centre.
The project was designed and delivered by CanvaLabs Solutions Private Limited, an integrator and consultant based in New Delhi, together with AUDAC's Indian distributor AV Essentials.
The challenge
The hotel needed one system that serves both safety and entertainment: clear announcements across the complex, separate music in each zone, and a link to the fire alarm. Mr. Manoj Ji, head of IT for the hotel and Assistant Vice President ITES at JILIT, approached CanvaLabs with a clear brief.
Every zone had to be controlled independently, so the gym, the restaurants and the banquet halls could each play their own music at their own level. The system also had to be simple enough for local hotel staff to run in their own areas, with as little involvement as possible from the IT and engineering departments. At the same time, the IT team wanted every device to be monitored and controlled from any desk they assign, and to be troubleshot over the network or from the cloud.
The solution
CanvaLabs designed the system around AUDAC's Atellio family: network-based audio products that route sound over Dante to the DSP and amplifiers. At the centre sits a LUNA-F flexible network audio matrix processor, which manages routing and zoning for all 29 zones. Eight PMQ480 WaveDynamics™ quad-channel 70/100V amplifiers power the loudspeaker lines, fed by eight ANI44XT network interfaces that bring analogue and Dante audio together.
For the people who use the system every day, the Atellio range keeps control close to hand. Six NWP220 wall plates provide local inputs, and six NCP105 wall controls and eleven VC3062 volume controllers let staff adjust music in their own zone without calling the IT team. Announcements are made from an NPM200 Dante/AES67 paging console fitted with a CMX230 shotgun microphone, so a message can reach a single zone, a group of zones or the whole complex.
The AUDAC Touch application ties everything together. Available on mobile and web, it lets the IT team, the front desk and the directors operate zones from anywhere, at any time and from any device. This cuts unnecessary movement around the complex and gives each role the level of control it needs.
Sound is delivered by a broad mix of loudspeakers matched to each environment. 195 CENA706 and 79 CIRA724 ceiling loudspeakers provide even, discreet coverage in the lounges, restaurants, meeting rooms and corridors, while 46 WX502MK2 outdoor loudspeakers in black cover the exterior areas and parking.
The result
The network PA and BGM system has noticeably improved the experience and ambience across Jaypee Boomerung Complex. Guests enjoy music suited to each space, while staff can manage their own zones with ease and the IT team keeps full oversight from a distance. Integration with the fire alarm means the same infrastructure also supports safety announcements when they matter most.
The architecture of the building made the installation demanding, yet close collaboration between AV Essentials, CanvaLabs and the AUDAC India team ensured a smooth path from planning to deployment.
