Abarth and Rally Collection in Lier Belgium is a one-of-a kind automobile museum featuring around 170 classic cars with a strong Italian character. Built over more than fifty years of passion and dedication, the collection has grown into a reference for car enthusiasts. To match the quality of the collection the owners invested in a brand-new facility combining an exhibition space with a bar library and workshop. The goal was to create a full experience center where visitors not only see cars but also truly feel the atmosphere around them.
With a large building spread over multiple zones and floors the museum needed an audio system that could deliver both powerful background music and clear speech throughout the facility. At the same time the acoustics had to remain balanced and non-intrusive given the open spaces, hard surfaces and reflective materials typically found in car museums. Ease of use was also crucial as the system needed to be controlled effortlessly by the staff without technical complexity.
The audio solution for the Abarth and Rally Collection was fully designed by Geronika Pro, who translated the museum’s vision into a scalable and user-friendly AUDAC. To achieve a consistent and immersive sound experience across the entire building ATEO series loudspeakers were installed throughout the venue. Their design and sound character made them suitable for both music playback and speech intelligibility in different areas such as the exhibition floors, bar and library.
The core of the system is formed by the LUNA-F digital audio matrix processor combined with AUDAC Touch software. This setup allows intuitive control and full zone management via both computer and wall controllers. The NCP105 control panels installed across the facility give staff direct access to volume and source control in each area.
Amplification is handled by multiple CAP424 units and a COM104 mixer amplifier providing enough power and flexibility for a multi-zone environment. For music sources and streaming the system includes an XMP44 modular media player expanded with an ANX44X Dante interface. The XMP44 is equipped with a SourceCon network audio module NMP40 and two IMP40 internet radio modules for stable radio playback.
Paging and announcements are handled by the NPM200 Dante and AES67 compatible PoE paging console allowing central announcements and trigger-based commands across zones.
According to co-founder Jeroen Nys the audio system fully meets their expectations. The sound quality, the acoustic balance and the ease of control make it an essential part of the overall visitor experience. The system allows them to adapt audio easily for daily operation and special events while maintaining a consistent atmosphere throughout the building.
