Sparkx Gent redefines the way people experience sports. Located in the heart of Belgium, this groundbreaking sports and entertainment park brings together more than fifty different sports under one roof. Visitors can ski down extreme slopes, challenge friends to archery, or race in virtual F1 cars, all within one vibrant and high-energy environment. To bring this dynamic space to life, SOVILUX BV partnered with AUDAC to deliver a professional audio installation capable of matching the park’s intensity, versatility, and immersive experience.
Fifty sports, one sound experience
With over forty-two different sports experiences spread across multiple zones, the venue required a flexible and reliable audio system that could handle a wide range of needs, from background music and paging to energetic sound reinforcement. The key challenge was to ensure consistent audio coverage across large and acoustically diverse spaces. The system also had to provide centralized control and easy paging for staff, maintain clear and high-quality sound in noisy and interactive environments, and integrate seamlessly with the venue’s digital infrastructure.
A networked audio system built for performance
SOVILUX BV designed a networked audio system based on AUDAC’s Atellio range, offering a combination of flexibility, reliability, and scalability. At the heart of the installation is the LUNA-F network audio matrix processor, which manages all audio routing across the various zones. The processor’s Dante and AES67 compatibility, combined with the SL-NAC8 network channel expansion, enables seamless digital signal distribution throughout the park.
To support music and announcements, several NPM200 Dante paging consoles were installed, allowing staff to communicate efficiently across the different activity areas. These consoles are complemented by NWP and NCP wall panels, which provide local input, control, and source selection options in each zone. For high-quality background and ambient sound, ALTI6 and ALTI4M pendant speakers were strategically placed throughout the open spaces and sports areas to ensure uniform coverage and rich, full sound performance.
Amplification is handled by PMQ Series WaveDynamics power amplifiers that deliver efficient 70/100V audio distribution, while compact SCP206 amplifiers are used for smaller zones. The system also integrates SourceCon modules such as the XMP44 and NMP40 for streaming audio and internet radio, providing flexible music playback options. In addition, a CAYMON rack setup with accessories including shelves, brackets, and mounting units ensures a professional and durable installation.

The result is a seamless audio experience that enhances every moment at Sparkx Gent, from the background ambiance to the high-adrenaline sports attractions. The flexible networked system allows staff to easily control zones, make announcements, and create tailored sound environments for each activity. Visitors experience clear, immersive, and dynamic sound that perfectly complements the park’s vibrant atmosphere and innovative concept. Thanks to the scalable and future-proof nature of the AUDAC system, Sparkx Gent is fully equipped to expand and adapt its audio experience as new sports and entertainment zones are introduced.
